Following previous successful and enjoyable events with Ken Murray performing, Musica Intima was delighted to be asked to launch the exciting new Odeon Trio. The audience completely filled the space at Clifton Creative Arts Centre, to the extent that some people had to be turned away. Those who got a seat made it quite clear how much they relished the performance of Brazilian choro and contemporary music, tangos, and original compositions. The hall was transformed for the evening by Peter Garnick’s stunning photographic images, and with the imposing and very original ceramic urns of Martin Quinlan. The performance was complemented by Brazilian-inspired food designed and prepared by Nancy Calo, and potentially lethal ‘Odeon’ cocktails concocted by Jillian Graham, loosely based on the Brazilian capirinha drink.
